George Halkiotis

As President of Federated Insurance, George Halkiotis is committed to delivering the highest level of customer experience which Canadians have relied on for the last century.

Having worked in insurance for over 35 years, George is passionate about the industry and ensures that our slogan, “knowing your business matters” is embedded in employee thinking at all levels to make certain that our customers are safe and protected.

George is the former President of the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers Association (CICMA) for the National and Ontario chapters and past chair of the Commercial Lines Standing Committee (CLSC) and Claims Committees for the Insurance Bureau of Canada. Today, George is on the Process Board for Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI). Some of his memberships held include the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association, the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators, Institute of Corporate Directors, and Canadian Defense Lawyer’s Association.

George graduated with an Honours degree from the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada and holds an MBA Essentials certificate from the University of Toronto Rotman School for Continuing Studies.
